Two words. So simple, yet so emotionally powerful. A concise message that acts like a bandage for the soul. Healing, hopefulness and bonding. “ME TOO” became part of a special dialogue, born out of a desire to bring the potential of deep feelings to the surface. In 2018, this dialogue began with the phrase “I MISS YOU”, a statement that brought to the forefront the emotions of those at a great distance from each other. Thus a unique dialogue was born, a dialogue of longing. The installation “ME TOO” is a part of this dialogue, created by the Daisler Association as part of the Lights On Romania festival.
This bright and simple installation has become renowned for its ability to stir strong emotions in every community where it has been exhibited. It conveyed a message of longing as well as love, and became a symbol for all those who feel separated from loved ones and others.
Over the years, this special dialogue has crossed borders and reached cities around the world. From Cluj to London, Chicago and Washington D.C., the conversation has stirred global excitement. With each appearance, the installation has brought a common feeling to every viewer and reminded people about the core values we all share.
The installation will come to Timișoara this autumn as part of The Night-Art Festival. “ME TOO” will be exhibited this autumn on the Iron Bridge – Iosefin, a place which has a special place in the heart of the city. The message will certainly add a touch of magic and emotion to this place full of history and fairytale, offering a very special experience for all those who will visit it this autumn.
