Over the years, Lights On Romania has transformed cities into true canvases of light art, exploring new and unexpected places. Unlike other events dedicated to light, which were mainly limited to conventional spaces and concepts, Lights On dared to explore beyond boundaries and brought light art to churches, office buildings, ruins, famous seafronts, parks and memorable buildings. This has generated a whole new dimension to the public’s visual experience.

But Lights On is not just about the visuals, it also brings strong emotional elements into the equation. Each installation conveys a powerful message, sends the viewer beyond the boundaries of reality and encourages meaningful dialogue.

In 2023, the Daisler Association is visiting Timisoara, the city given the honorary title of European Capital of Culture in 2023. All to bring art at night closer to the community. Under the motto “Culture Doesn’t Sleep”, The Night-Art Festival brings night-time culture to the fore, changing the perspective on art and offering visitors a unique experience. In addition to light installations, this time the public will be treated to theatre plays, guided tours, and lively debates.

The Lights On Romania story began in 2018 in Cluj-Napoca, as an initiative of the Daisler Association. The event quickly managed to attract fans from all backgrounds because it promotes a new niche of visual arts in public spaces, some of the most unique urban activities, and fascinating cross-sector collaborations.
