Five months ago, the entire city of Liverpool was gearing up for this year’s spectacular Eurovision. And if you’re wondering what the connection is between a music competition and a night art festival, we’ll just say this: Floating Earth.

The installation by British artist Luke Jerram was exhibited at the Royal Albert Dock in Liverpool as part of the event lineup meant to celebrate the host status, and to amaze and delight both local and international visitors. Due to popular demand, it remained on display for an additional week beyond the initially announced period.

And in about a month, Floating Earth will rise in Timișoara, on the waters of the Bega River. It’s well worth seeing it!
