“In-Between” introduces viewers to a realm between reality and mysticism, a captivating art installation that blurs the boundaries between nature and technology. The three seemingly simple cubes, precisely arranged on black pedestals, hide false mirrors beneath their surfaces that reveal a complex and electrifying internal structure. A synthesis of art and science, this work adds a unique element to the natural landscape, engaging the eye and the imagination.

“What the day reveals, the night conceals… In the evening, the cubes create a meditative techno-mystical space that offers an oasis of tranquility, yet remaining electrifying, retaining a hint of the atmosphere generated by the proximity of the city. The installation is based on the concept of transition on several levels: it functions as an intermediary between the natural and technological spheres, but at the same time it marks the passage through the different moments of the day thanks to the fact that its light itself fluctuates according to the external light conditions”, says Daniel Popescu, artistic director of Lights On Romania and author of the original creation.

“In-Between” manages to combine minimalist aesthetics with the surrounding nature, temporarily transforming the natural space into an organic gallery. Through this work, contemporary art meets the natural landscape in a way that raises questions and inspires contemplation. A remarkable feature of this work is that it adapts to outdoor light conditions, fluctuating between reflecting the world around it and focusing attention inward. This characteristic gives it a unique dynamic, making In-Between an ever-evolving experience for those who explore it.

“In-Between” will be exhibited in Timișoara.
