Standing at an imposing height of 10 meters, equivalent to a two-story building, Floating Earth is the largest installation that ever floated on the calm waters of the Bega river. This captivating piece will surely be a crowd-puller for the people of Timișoara, who in the past saw a smaller scale replica of the installation positioned in the Iulius Town area.
The installation premieres in Romania, having previously only been displayed in the UK and Belgium.
The imagination of the British artist Luke Jerram gave birth to a stunning creation: a massive Earth, crafted with attention to detail and color, managing to create an amazing illusion of floating amidst nature, offering a new perspective on the relationship between art and environment.
Between October 3 and 12, the Floating Earth will take over the Bega river.
