Based on a unique and captivating concept, “Night Walks” – part of the Lights On Romania initiative – puts forward guided night tours, revealing the light installations and backstage stories of the Iosefin neighborhood. Combining nocturnal magic and urban history, these night tours promise to turn darkness into an opportunity to discover the city from a whole new perspective.

Despite its beauty and rich history, Timișoara faces the challenge of non-functioning street lighting in some areas. But even in the apparent darkness, these areas encompass stories and unexplored places waiting to be discovered. The city seems to fall asleep as night falls, and night-time cultural events are rare or non-existent. In such a context, Lights On Romania steps in with the necessary boldness to change perspectives.

How do we set up guided night tours in a sleeping city? With a lot of courage, passionate and knowledgeable guides, exceptional stories and deep-rooted historical secrets, unique experiences, communication and connection, and… of course, sparkles generated by the art installations that will light up the dark paths of the little neighborhood. Inspired by the Night Seeing series by Leni Schwendinger, the renowned creator of night tours in cities such as New York, London, Berlin and Paris, the tours will also connect the works on display as part of the Light Installation Circuit.

See you soon in Timișoara!
