An artistic masterpiece that has graced the pages of prestigious publications such as Financial Times and The Guardian is set to delight and inspire audiences in Timișoara. This wonderful experience is called “Floating Earth” and is basically a 1:1 representation of our home planet, created by British artist Luke Jerram. And from 3 to 12 October it will take over the Bega River.

Accompanied by guides, you will have the opportunity to decipher the message behind Luke Jerram’s masterpiece and understand the commitment to environmental protection and respect for our planet. It’s a rare opportunity to connect with the beauty and majesty of nature in an unexpected and profound way.

The Floating Earth installation has been exhibited in various locations around the world and is usually shown as part of public art events such as festivals. On the occasion of Lights On Bega, Luke Jerram’s creation becomes a canvas for reflection, inviting every passerby to stop and contemplate the boundless universe that surrounds us. Prepare to embark on a celestial journey that blurs the boundaries between art and the cosmos.
