With an eclectic and diverse line-up, each Night Gigs performance is a surprise for the audience. You could end up with a musical number, an improv show or a drag show. In a building with a special history or in an apartment close to the city center. Mystery is the magic ingredient of these autumn evenings at The Night-Art Festival.

You will meet new people, be part of a very special collective experience and create the most beautiful artistic memories in the year when the city on the Bega is proud of a special title – that of European Capital of Culture.

Are you looking forward to Night Gigs? We share some of the guests and performances with you.

Just Push Play
An improv show where everything is created on the spot. No director, no script. The remote control will be in the hands of the Timișoara audience. Under the wing of the talented collective of actors involved, scenarios are born and evolve spontaneously, taking the audience on an unexpected journey each time.

Bogdan Vaida
A graduate of the Academy of Music in Cluj, pianist Bogdan Vaida has been performing for more than 8 years now in unconventional venues – in the country, but also abroad, in an attempt to bring people closer to music. A well-known name on the Romanian contemporary classical music scene and a true sound storyteller, Bogdan transports the audience into a world full of emotion with each of his performances.

Dragoș Pop
With a remarkable knack for comedy and a keen intuition for highlighting life’s ironies, actor Dragoș Pop turns every moment into an occasion for genuine laughter. As an artist of words, he masterfully navigates through the complexities of contemporary reality, bringing to the fore observations about everyday life and tackling social issues.

Drag Show
This component will feature a vibrant celebration of diversity, expression and art, a revolution of spirit and individuality, in an amalgam of colour, music and drama, where authenticity and freedom of expression reach their peak.

Cezar and Adi
When they are not in full formula with the whole band, Adi Despot and Cezar Popescu bring joy to the audience as a duo. The two talented and passionate musicians say that Acu2tic is for them a return to their roots, fondly remembering their teenage years when, wherever they went, they had a guitar hanging on their backs and every stop meant a song. Songs from the band’s vast repertoire are reimagined in a modern acoustic version.

Radu Almășan
His name is synonymous with talent and rhythm, and it still seems like no party is complete without one of the dance tracks that established him more than two decades ago. As lead singer, songwriter and leader of the famous band Bosquito, Radu Almășan has masterfully brought to audiences a fusion of Latin rock with an eclectic range of influences. Even after a period spent overseas, he returned to the country with the same enthusiasm to continue bringing music closer to the hearts of the Romanian public.

Tudor Giurgiu
Founder of the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF), Tudor Giurgiu is not only a pioneer of cinema, but also a true visionary in the art world. As a director and producer, he has made his mark on the Romanian and European film industry with award-winning works such as “Of Snails and Men” and “Why Me?”. He is also a leading figure in the development of the Romanian film industry, supporting young filmmakers and promoting cultural values through the art of cinema.
