Lights On Bega

See you in the Iosefin neighborhood, near the Iron Bridge.

Lights On Bega is more than a cultural and artistic event – it is an invitation for reflection, action, and changing our attitude towards the environment. At the heart of this shining event is the installation Floating Earth, the remarkable creation of the famous British artist Luke Jerram, representing Earth in stunning size and detail and inviting viewers to ponder upon our planet’s fragility and splendor.

The adjacent events within Lights On Bega literally revolve around the Floating Earth installation. We have sunset sound experiences, true emotional journeys in which we will feel our profound connection with the entire universe and think about ways we can contribute to protecting nature. Later on, we leave ourselves in the hands of tour guides and take a walk that will allow us to familiarize ourselves with both Luke Jerram’s artistic message and his concerns about the rapid environmental degradation.

All these – the exposure of the Floating Earth installation, the concerts and artistic recitals, as well as the guided tours taking place in its vicinity – we hope will awaken consciousness and inspire actions for a better future, in which we protect and value our home planet.
