Digital Jungle is in fact a large artwork symbolizing urban ecosystem meeting the nature ecosystem in modern days. On one side the urban landscape and technological development, on the other side nature and it’ presence that we deem more necessary than ever in our lives. The two live together in a very fragile symbiotic system, but coming to light one before the other, never in the same time.

The crew behind the artwork, calling themselves Tape That Collective – Berlin, is made out of six young artist coming from Germany. They produce large scale artworks made entirely out of duct tape. Artistic projects have led them to more than 40 countries in less than 5 years from thei moment they founded Tape That, with large exhibitions in countries like The US, Germany, UK, India, Taiwan, Japan and many other gaining international attention.

In Romania, Tape That Collective premiered the artwork entitled Digital Jungle at the closing event for the second edition of the Lights On Romania light art festival, hosted by the legendary Paintbrush Factory.

The presence of Nici and Adrian from Tape That Collective in Cluj was possible through a collaboration with the German Cultural Center in Cluj-Napoca.
